{"id":118407,"date":"2026-01-14T22:46:23","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T22:46:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/118407\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T22:46:23","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T22:46:23","slug":"burger-spot-near-ucf-temporarily-closes-due-to-roaches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/118407\/","title":{"rendered":"Burger spot near UCF temporarily closes due to roaches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A casual burger joint near the University of Central Florida was forced to temporarily close its doors last week after multiple roaches were found during a health inspection.<\/p>\n<p>Build My Burgers, which is located at 3402 Technological Avenue, Suite 136, in Orlando, shut down shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, due to a failed health inspection conducted by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.<\/p>\n<p>The eatery was cited for a dozen violations during the initial inspection, including the presence of six live roaches. In the report, the health inspector noted that the live roaches were found under a sink in the dish area and on a wall next to the reach-in freezer.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the inspector found 10 dead roaches and one egg sack inside the restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Other violations mentioned in the report include a garbage can blocking a handwashing sink in the kitchen and several items being stored on the floor, including oil, seasoning, and cases of to-go containers.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant remained closed, and the inspector returned on Wednesday, January 7.
