{"id":119664,"date":"2026-01-15T20:47:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T20:47:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/119664\/"},"modified":"2026-01-15T20:47:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T20:47:09","slug":"orlando-city-transfer-luis-muriel-to-atletico-junior","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/119664\/","title":{"rendered":"Orlando City transfer Luis Muriel to Atl\u00e9tico Junior"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Transfer<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlssoccer.com\/clubs\/orlando-city-sc\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Orlando City<\/a> have transferred striker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlssoccer.com\/players\/luis-muriel\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Luis Muriel<\/a> to Colombian side Atl\u00e9tico Junior, the club announced Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old Colombian international&#8217;s exit opens a Designated Player roster spot for Orlando. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlssoccer.com\/players\/martin-ojeda\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mart\u00edn Ojeda<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlssoccer.com\/players\/marco-pasalic\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marco Pa\u0161ali\u0107<\/a> are their remaining DPs.<\/p>\n<p>Muriel spent two seasons with Orlando, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlssoccer.com\/news\/orlando-city-sign-luis-muriel-from-atalanta\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">arriving in 2024<\/a> from Italian Serie A side Atalanta.
