Lee Health is pleased to share that Cape Coral Hospital\u2019s Emergency Department has been expanded to include nine new treatment bays, for a total of 56 treatment spaces. This expansion will allow more patients to be treated in an expeditious timeframe and support the growing Cape Coral community.\n<\/p>\n

Cape Coral is one of the fastest-growing cities in Southwest Florida. The addition of these new treatment spaces will enhance access to vital medical services for the city\u2019s growing population.\n<\/p>\n

The Emergency Department provides immediate medical care for serious, sudden or life-threatening illnesses and injuries.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Cape Coral\u2019s population grows, it is essential for residents and visitors to have quick access to nearby emergency healthcare facilities,\u201d said Cape Coral Hospital\u2019s Chief Nurse and Operations Executive, Rebekah Jernstedt. \u201cThe additional treatment spaces will reduce wait times and improve care during peak periods, ensuring high-quality emergency services close to home.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Lee Health emergency departments are conveniently located in all adult hospital facilities, and there is also a pediatric emergency department at Golisano Children\u2019s Hospital.\n<\/p>\n

To further improve access to care, Lee Health recently opened a new convenient care location in South Cape Coral as part of its ongoing initiatives to address the community\u2019s changing healthcare needs and provide residents with nearby access to quality care.\n<\/p>\n

Lee Health at Bimini Square, at the corner of Palm Tree Boulevard and Cape Coral Parkway, also began treating patients in late 2025.\n<\/p>\n
