POMPANO BEACH, Fla. \u2014 A rough police takedown was captured on cell phone video in Pompano Beach. <\/p>\n
The Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office said they were responding to a shooting over a parking spot on Tuesday that led to three men being arrested. <\/p>\n
A relative of the alleged shooter also found himself taken down by deputies and he claims they went too far. <\/p>\n
Residents were recording on their cell phones as five BSO deputies worked to take down 22-year-old Jeremyah Terrell Taylor. <\/p>\n
In the video, deputies force him to the ground while one of the deputies appears to be kicking and then stomping on him. <\/p>\n
\u201cOne pinning his face to the pavement, one has his knee to his chest, and the other repeatedly kicking him,\u201d said Taylor\u2019s mother. \u201cThat is not to be justified.\u201d<\/p>\n
In bond court, we learned at the time of the arrest, deputies were responding to a shooting near Blanche Ely High School, and as they arrived Taylor exited his car. <\/p>\n
His mother claimed he was trying to make his way to his uncle, 37-year-old Timothy Taylor, who was also taken into custody.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was literally going to get something from his uncle for his child,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
As Taylor bonded out of the Broward County Jail on charges of battery of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest, he showed Local 10 News cuts and scrapes he said he received from BSO. <\/p>\n
He also viewed that video for the first time while maintaining that he did nothing wrong.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll that kicking for what?\u201d Taylor asked while watching the video. <\/p>\n
He also had a message for the deputies who arrested him. <\/p>\n
\u201cSee you in court,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
Local 10 News did reach out to BSO, who said their internal affairs department is looking into the case. <\/p>\n
Their findings will then be reviewed by the use of force review board.<\/p>\n
Taylor does have prior arrests, but he says that has nothing to do with how he was treated. <\/p>\n
