Leer en espa\u00f1ol<\/a><\/p>\nAuthorities said Leonardo Carracedo-King, 30, was upset that the victim \u201cdisrespected his girlfriend by urinating in public near her\u201d at around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 13. <\/p>\n
Two witnesses said they had left the victim\u2019s apartment, located at 1099 W. 71st St., to head to a nearby gas station just after 11:30 p.m. when they heard the victim arguing with Carracedo-King, who was \u201carmed with a large knife and threatening the victim,\u201d according to a report from the Hialeah Police Department.<\/p>\n
Police said one of the witnesses \u201cattempted to defuse the situation by apologizing on the victim\u2019s behalf and shaking (Carracedo-King\u2019s) hand.\u201d<\/p>\n
Authorities said the two witnesses went back to the victim\u2019s apartment, then left, but were called back by the victim just before 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 14, \u201cwho told them that he had been stabbed and needed them to return.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police said officers found the man \u201clying on a bed in a bedroom with multiple stab wounds, including a large, deep wound to the center of his chest.\u201d<\/p>\n
They said medics airlifted him to Jackson Memorial Hospital\u2019s Ryder Trauma Center.<\/p>\n
According to the report, the victim told police that after the witnesses left, \u201che walked toward the parking lot intending to apologize to\u201d Carracedo-King and \u201ccarried a baseball bat for self-protection, as he had previously been threatened with a knife.\u201d<\/p>\n
The report states that he told investigators that as he walked over to apologize, another man, driving a black Cadillac SUV registered to Carracedo-King, \u201cconfronted the victim and yelled for (Carracedo-King) to go and grab the gun.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe victim then retreated and started walking back toward his apartment,\u201d police wrote. \u201cAccording to the victim, both (men) chased him as he walked up the stairs to his apartment. One (man) forcibly removed the baseball bat from the victim, while the other stabbed the victim multiple times with a large knife.\u201d<\/p>\n
The report doesn\u2019t name the other man, described as a co-defendant, and it\u2019s unclear whether police have identified him or whether they\u2019ve determined which of the two men stabbed the victim.<\/p>\n
Police said Carracedo-King left his wallet behind, however, and said they arrested him on the armed robbery charge \u201cbased on the fact the defendants acted together to attack the victim.\u201d<\/p>\n
Carracedo-King\u2019s bond was listed as \u201cto be set\u201d in Miami-Dade jail records as of Wednesday.<\/p>\n
