Karma Kitchen and Bakery Taking Over Former Craftsman House Spot<\/p>\n
The owners of Karma Juice Bar & Eatery<\/a> are opening a new venture in the former Craftsman House space in St. Petersburg\u2019s Grand Central District. <\/p>\n The Craftsman House closed in December. <\/p>\n Karma Kitchen and Bakery is expected to open this summer at 2955 Central Ave., the Tampa Bay Times reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n In addition to a vegan and gluten-free bakery, the space will serve mocktails, cocktails and Filipino-inspired small bites. <\/p>\n Tulum-Inspired Downtown Restaurant, Club Closes<\/p>\n Concrete Jungle<\/a>, a downtown Tulum-inspired restaurant, bar and club, has closed its space in the Kress Building at 475 Central Ave. for good. <\/p>\n \u201cAfter 2+ years, we\u2019ve made the difficult decision to close,\u201d according to a social media post<\/a>. \u201cThank you to everyone who supported us and spent time with us along the way. We\u2019re grateful for everyone who made our time together special.\u201d<\/p>\n Last year, the restaurant, owned by Hunger Thirst Group, faced eviction from the Kress Building because of more than $100,000 in unpaid rent, The Tampa Bay Business Journal reported<\/a> in October. <\/p>\n It\u2019s the third concept from Hunger Thirst Group, including No Vacancy and The Avenue, to close within one year. <\/p>\n Vietnamese Coffee Shop Opening in Grand Central District<\/p>\n Grand Central District will welcome a Vietnamese Coffee Shop this spring. <\/p>\n Say Coffee House<\/a> is expected to open in March at 2414 Central Ave., The Gabber reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n The space was previously home to Crisp Waffle Company. <\/p>\n The coffee shop\u2019s owner also owns Sip Tea Boba in Pinellas Park.<\/p>\n Italian Sub Shop Opens Downtown<\/p>\n A classic Italian-style sandwich shop opened in downtown St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n Tony D\u2019s Sub Shop<\/a> is now open at 217 Central Ave.<\/p>\n The owners created the menu of \u201cold-school subs\u201d as a tribute to their grandfather, Tony Deliberato, \u201cwhose love of food, tradition and bringing people together shaped everything we do,\u201d according to the website. <\/p>\n Each sandwich is named after a person or place important to their family.<\/p>\n South Florida-based Coffee Chain Opening<\/p>\n A South Florida-based drive-thru coffee chain, Cali Coffee<\/a>, is planning to open a St. Petersburg location, St. Pete Catalyst reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n It will take over a former Checker\u2019s near the Tyrone Square mall.<\/p>\n
