TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Wednesday was a special one at Dick Howser Stadium as the Florida State baseball team cheered on a signing by its newest member. <\/p>\n
Eight-year-old Aaron Davis is a Seminole superfan who\u2019s been battling a form of Leukemia for the past six months. Aaron is in remission. However, he has plenty of treatment to go, but now he\u2019ll get to do it side-by-side with the \u2018Noles thanks in part to Team Impact, an organization that brings together children fighting chronic and major illnesses with NCAA programs. <\/p>\n
\u201cTo have {the team} show up for a dinner for him Monday night, eat hamburgers and hotdogs, talk baseball and play video games and stuff like that, you don\u2019t see that everywhere,\u201d said Aaron\u2019s father, Gary Davis, of the bond his son already has with the team. \u201cTo have them be there for him and do stuff like that for him, it\u2019s pretty special, and I can\u2019t thank them enough for that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c{I\u2019m} excited to be with the team,\u201d beamed an excited Aaron, who broke down the team\u2019s huddle at the end of their first meeting together. <\/p>\n
Aaron\u2019s \u2018Noles open the season on February 13, welcoming in James Madison for a weekend series. <\/p>\n
