The shelters will be open from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Shelters will not be open Friday night, Jan. 16.<\/p>\n<p>Shelter guests are accepted until the shelter is full. All sites provide a warm and safe place to sleep, and many sites also serve a meal. Shelters are activated when the National Weather Service expects the \u201cfeels like\u201d temperature to hit 40 degrees or below across the county between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Some shelters do allow pets, but they must be leashed\/contained.<\/p>\n<p>The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will provide free bus rides to and from Cold Night Shelters from 5 p.m. Thursday through 7 a.m. Friday. Riders must tell PSTA drivers they are going to a Pinellas Cold Night Shelter when boarding to ride fare-free.<\/p>\n<p>The following cold weather shelters are available to adult men and women:<\/p>\n<p>Tarpon Springs<\/p>\n<p>St. Timothy Lutheran Church 812 E Tarpon Ave., Tarpon Springs<\/p>\n<p>Clearwater<\/p>\n<p>First United Methodist Church of Clearwater411 Turner Street, Clearwater<\/p>\n<p>PSTA Route #52A<\/p>\n<p>Allows pets, must be leashed\/contained<\/p>\n<p>Pinellas Park<\/p>\n<p>Boys &amp; Girls Club of Pinellas Park7790 61st St. N, Pinellas Park<\/p>\n<p>First United Methodist Church of Pinellas Park9025 49th St. N, Pinellas Park<\/p>\n<p>PSTA Route #49<\/p>\n<p>Allows pets, must be leashed\/contained<\/p>\n<p>St. Petersburg<\/p>\n<p>Unitarian Universalist Church100 Mirror Lake Drive N, St. PetersburgNote: This location requires the use of stairs.<\/p>\n<p>PSTA Routes #9, #20, #24, SunRunner<\/p>\n<p>Salvation Army1400 4th\u00a0Street South, St. Petersburg<\/p>\n<p>Allendale Church3803 Haines Rd. Families should call 2-1-1, First Contact, for information about family shelters.<\/p>\n<p>The Homeless Leadership Alliance is in need of volunteers for this and future activations.
