Here&#8217;s what to expect for parking and road closures.<\/p>\n<p>TAMPA, Fla. \u2014 This holiday weekend, Tampa and St. Pete will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.<\/p>\n<p>Both cities will honor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtsp.com\/article\/news\/local\/martin-luther-king-day-2026-parade-events-tampa-bay\/67-33e2bf56-3f20-435d-9150-9a58ee711080\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">MLK with parades on Jan. 19. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Whether you plan to join in the festivities or just enjoy a day off, we&#8217;ve got you covered with road closures and traffic impacts across the Bay Area.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nTampa MLK Day road closures                    <\/p>\n<p>The city of Tampa&#8217;s Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade begins at noon Monday, celebrating the &#8220;enduring legacy, spirit and vision&#8221; of Dr. King.<\/p>\n<p>Starting at E. 21st Avenue and N. 15th Street, \u00a0the parade travels through the heart of East Tampa and ends at N. 22nd Street and E. Osborne Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers should be aware of the following road closures from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.:<\/p>\n<p>N. 15th\u00a0Street between E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and E. 17th\u00a0AvenueN. Avenue Republica De Cuba \/N. 14th\u00a0Street between E. 21st\u00a0Avenue and E. 17th\u00a0AvenueE. 21st\u00a0Avenue between N. 11th\u00a0Street and N. 21st\u00a0StreetE. The 1st St. N Station will remain open for the day of the parade.<\/p>\n<p>The parade route is accessible for people with disabilities, and special viewing areas will be designated.<\/p>\n<p>The city recommends leaving early to account for traffic and finding a parking location ahead of time. Downtown parking locations can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stpete.org\/parking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">on the city&#8217;s website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Free parking will be available at Tropicana Field for parade attendees.
