ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A major crash has forced the closure of all southbound lanes on Florida\u2019s Turnpike in St. Lucie County, causing significant traffic delays on Thursday.<\/p>\n
According to Florida 511, the crash occurred just before Mile Marker 141, with congestion now stretching beyond Exit 142 at Port St. Lucie Boulevard. Emergency crews are on scene, and drivers are being urged to avoid the area or seek alternate routes.<\/p>\n
Traffic cameras show extensive backups and a semi-truck at the scene of the crash site. No estimated time for reopening has been announced as of the latest update at 12:15 p.m., according to Florida 511.<\/p>\n
