\n\tOrlando Bloom<\/a>\u2018s boxing feature is set to enter the ring with its streaming<\/a> debut. <\/p>\n

\n\tDirector Sean Ellis\u2019s movie The Cut is set for its post-theatrical launch via Paramount+<\/a> on Nov. 1, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned. Republic Pictures gave the film a limited theatrical release last month following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival<\/a> in 2024. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Cut centers on an Irish boxer (Bloom) who has picked up a job at his hometown gym after his fighting career stalled. When an opportunity arises to once again prove himself in the ring, he turns to extreme measures to rapidly cut down his weight.<\/p>\n

\n\tCaitr\u00edona Balfe<\/a>, John Turturro<\/a>, Gary Beadle and Clare Dunne round out the cast. Ellis (The Cursed) helmed the film from a script by Justin Bull, with Mark Lane credited for the story. Producers include Bloom, Lane, Leonora Darby, James Harris, Adam Karasick, Bret Saxon and Thomas Fanning.<\/p>\n

\n\tBloom was seen earlier this year in the Amazon MGM Studios action-comedy Deep Cover<\/a>. He is set to appear opposite Pete Davidson and Naomi Scott in David Mich\u00f4d\u2019s Wizards!<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a previous interview with THR<\/a>, Bloom explained what he looks for in roles at this stage of his career. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel like in some ways, I was almost being groomed to be a movie star when I was younger, and now all bets are off,\u201d Bloom said at the time. \u201cI want to burn the barn down with my performance. I\u2019m not afraid of anything anymore.
