The project delivers 502 apartments across two eight-story buildings and represents one of the most significant recent investments tied to attainable housing and commercial activation in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Dean J. Trantalis joined city and county officials alongside the development team for the event, which took place along the project\u2019s pedestrian-oriented Paseo. Attendees included Steven Glassman, Pamela Beasley-Pittman, Ben Sorensen, Alexandra Davis, Lamar Fisher, Rickelle Williams, Vanessa Martin, and representatives from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37575\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9709.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1290\" height=\"848\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Ryan Troy Photography.<\/p>\n<p>The development is led by Fuse Group and KREA Developments. Company leadership present included Eyal Peretz, Shimon Elkabetz, and Mauricio Girault Domenge. The ceremony was hosted by Stephanie Toothaker, with remarks delivered by Mayor Trantalis, Commissioner Glassman, and Peretz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe completion of The Arcadian confirms the city\u2019s commitment to helping build affordable housing in our community,\u201d said Mayor Dean Trantalis. \u201cIt also creates space for small businesses, entrepreneurs and local economic growth in the heart of the Sistrunk District.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Peretz addressed the project\u2019s role within the neighborhood\u2019s long-term development. \u201cThe Arcadian represents years of commitment to the Sistrunk District and Fort Lauderdale\u2019s westward expansion,\u201d said Peretz. \u201cThis ribbon cutting celebrates the completion of a transformational project that balances history and progress. The time capsule will serve as a reminder to future generations of our vision for economic opportunity, community empowerment and cultural preservation in this historic neighborhood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the ribbon cutting, a time capsule was installed on-site and is scheduled to be opened on January 15, 2051. The capsule is intended to reflect present-day aspirations tied to the district\u2019s revitalization. Light refreshments were provided by Salty Bean, a future ground-floor restaurant tenant, and guided tours of the property followed the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37570\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Time-Capsule-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Ryan Troy Photography.<\/p>\n<p>The Arcadian consists of 502 residential units, including studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts. Of the total unit count, 151 apartments are designated as attainable housing for qualified households earning between 100 percent and 120 percent of area median income. The development also includes approximately 15,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space intended for neighborhood-serving businesses and entrepreneurs, along with a structured parking garage containing 629 spaces. The project received a $10 million investment from the Fort Lauderdale Community Redevelopment Agency.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37573\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_2730-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Ryan Troy Photography.<\/p>\n<p>Amenity spaces are distributed throughout the development and include interior courtyards, two heated swimming pools, a fitness center, outdoor movie areas, a spa room with sauna, a cryotherapy lounge, yoga facilities, a golf simulator, co-working and meeting rooms, and a resident club room. The Arcadian also incorporates Fort Lauderdale and Broward County\u2019s first indoor pickleball court, a pedestrian Paseo, and a large-scale curated art installation by a world-renowned artist mounted on the east and west elevations of the parking structures.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37572\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_2705-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Ryan Troy Photography.<\/p>\n<p>Residential interiors feature Energy Star-rated stainless steel appliances, stone-composition countertops, smart home systems, and designer finishes, with most units offering private balconies. The Arcadian forms part of a broader strategy aimed at introducing residential density, commercial space, and community-oriented infrastructure into the historic neighborhood.
