Justin Warmoth, longtime anchor and reporter at Orlando\u2019s WKMG-Channel 6, is leaving the CBS affiliate at the end of the month, the station announced Monday.<\/p>\n
His last day on News 6 is Jan. 30. \u201cWarmoth and his family will be staying in Central Florida as he pursues a new career,\u201d WKMG said in a news release.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor the last 13 years, I\u2019ve had the privilege of working as a journalist in my hometown.\u00a0 WKMG took a chance on a green 22-year-old and gave me the foundation to grow \u2014 both professionally and personally,\u201d Warmoth said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs my time here comes to an end, I want to thank the viewers who trusted me with their stories and made this work matter every day. I\u2019m also grateful for my teammates, past and present, who pushed me, supported me, and made the long days worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Warmoth is a familiar name for Central Florida TV viewers. Justin\u2019s father, Greg, has been with WFTV-Channel 9, the ABC station in town, since the 1980s.<\/p>\n

The younger Warmoth started his broadcast journalism career at WKMG in 2013, as a Brevard County bureau reporter before transitioning to the anchor desk. He\u2019s been covering Orange County and cities like Apopka lately for the station.<\/p>\n
