January 16, 2026 Women: Florida 179, Auburn 119 The Gators traveled west to take on SEC opponents Auburn, with the Gators accumulating 26 wins across both men\u2019s and women\u2019s events. The Florida women took down the Tigers 179-119, while the Gator men were victorious in their 193.5-105 effort.<\/p>\n Women\u2019s Results<\/p>\n The Gator women kickstarted the day with a 200 medley relay win in 1:35.84; the foursome of Catie Choate<\/a> (24.21), Anita Bottazzo<\/a> (26.13), Beatriz Bezerra<\/a> (22.80), and Addison Reese<\/a> (22.70) led the Gators to a meet-opening win over Auburn in 1:36.61.<\/p>\n Sophomore Julie Brousseau<\/a> led the 1-2 finish for the Gator women in the 1000 free, with Brousseau touching in 9:30.03, over 16 seconds faster than her teammate Camille DeBoer<\/a> in 9:46.66. Brousseau was equally dominant in the 500 free, powering to a near eight-second win in 4:40.20.<\/p>\n Junior Lainey Kruger<\/a> took the 200 free win by over a full second in 1:45.45, touching ahead of her teammate Sylvia Statkevicius in 1:46.53. Kruger won her 2nd event of the day in the 100 free (49.08), finishing only .05 seconds better than Auburn\u2019s Lisa Klevanovich<\/a> (49.13).<\/p>\n Choate flew to a new lifetime best to win the 100 back, touching first in 50.95, over a full second better than Auburn\u2019s Lora Komoroczy<\/a> in 52.26. Choate completed the backstroke sweep with a lifetime best in the 200 back, swimming the fastest time of her career in 1:50.66, five and a half seconds better than anyone else in the field.<\/p>\n Bottazo led a 1-2-3 sweep for Florida in the 100 breast, touching in the only sub-minute time of the meet in 58.13. Molly Mayne<\/a> and Anna Moore<\/a> followed in 1:00.21 and 1:00.87, respectively.<\/p>\n Junior Grace Rainey<\/a> swam a season-best time to nab the close win over Carissa Rinard<\/a> (1:59.14) of Auburn in the 200 fly, with Rainey clocking 1:58.93. Rainey\u2019s range was on full display when she added another win in the 200 breast, swimming her fastest time so far this season in 2:09.46.<\/p>\n Florida junior Camyla Monroy<\/a> (294.60) led all participants in scoring in the 1-meter diving event, finishing just 1.50 points better than Auburn\u2019s Juliette Landi (293.10).<\/p>\n Freshman Grace Rabb<\/a> outpaced the field in the 200 IM, winning the event in 1:57.71, the only finisher under two minutes.<\/p>\n The Gators capped off a winning day in the 400 free relay, where Kruger (49.38), Choate (48.95), Addison Reese<\/a> (49.47), and Statkevicius (48.82) combined for a near second win in 3:16.62.<\/p>\n Auburn\u2019s first win of the day on the women\u2019s side came in the 50 free, where graduate swimmer Lisa Klevanovich<\/a> stopped the clock in 22.09; Florida\u2019s Kruger, despite a lifetime best effort, finished more than seven tenths behind in 22.86.<\/p>\n Landi, the Tiger freshman, came back to win the 3-meter diving event in 320.93, over six points better than Alexa Fung<\/a> (314.55) of Florida.<\/p>\n Auburn sophomore Morgan Carteaux<\/a> clocked a season best in the 100 fly in 52.41. Florida\u2019s Beatriz Bezerra<\/a> finished runner-up, swimming a new lifetime best in 52.73.<\/p>\n Men\u2019s Results<\/p>\n The Gator men opened up the meet similar to the women\u2019s team, with just more than a half-second win over Auburn; Florida\u2019s Jonny Marshall<\/a> (21.03), Aleksas Savickas<\/a> (23.51), Josh Liendo<\/a> (19.49), and Alex Painter<\/a> (18.87) led the way for the Gators from start to finish, touching first in 1:22.90.<\/p>\n Ahmed Jaouadi<\/a> continued his impressive freshman season for Florida with another win in the 1000 free, leading a top-three sweep for the Gators, stopping the clock in 8:39.33. The 500 free was a similar story, charging to a six second win in the event, touching in 4:15.20.<\/p>\n Jonny Marshall<\/a> picked up the win in the 100 back for the Gators, touching just under a half second ahead of the field in 45.69.<\/p>\n Savickas took the top spot in a tightly contested 100 breast race, which saw him touch first in 52.55, just 15 hundredths better than Auburn\u2019s Uros Zivanovic<\/a> and Florida\u2019s Koen de Groot, who both tied for 2nd in 52.70. Savickas earned the 200 breast win in 1:54.69 to earn the breaststroke sweep on the day.<\/p>\n Liendo notched his first individual win in the 50 free, touching just over a quarter of a second ahead of the field in 19.28. He later added the 100 fly to his win total, leading a 1-2 finish with teammate Scotty Buff<\/a> (45.99) in 44.31.<\/p>\n The Gator men swept the diving events on the day; junior Conor Gesing<\/a> claimed the 1-meter win in 358.65, and his teammate Jesus Agundez Mora dominated the 3-meter event in 410.33.<\/p>\n Florida sophomore Aiden Norman<\/a> outpaced Marshall to win the 200 back in 1:41.76; the Gators claimed the top four spots in the event.<\/p>\n The Gators\u2019 final individual win came on the back of Nil Cadevall<\/a>, who claimed the 200 IM in 1:45.32.<\/p>\n The Gators\u2019 \u2018A\u2019 400 free relay of Devin Dilger<\/a> (43.28), Painter (42.44), Buff (42.17), and Liendo (41.34) powered to a meet closing victory in 2:49.77.<\/p>\n
