Miami and Indiana will make history during Monday night\u2019s College Football Playoff<\/a> championship game, no matter what happens between the white lines.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s game marks the first time that two Adidas programs have met in a national title game.<\/p>\n

Miami has been with Adidas since 2015, while Indiana has been with the brand since 2004, according to the IndyStar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is also guaranteed to be the first national championship win for an Adidas school since 1998 when the Tennessee Volunteers won the title.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, Adidas is proud to have two of its teams facing off.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving two adidas schools in the championship, and knowing an adidas partner will win a national title for the first time in the CFP era, is incredibly special for us,\u201d Adidas vice president of sports marketing Chris McGuire told the IndyStar. \u201cFirst and foremost, it\u2019s a historic moment for whichever university wins. Our focus will be on making sure those athletes and that school feel fully celebrated \u2014 from providing immediate, world-class championship gear to online and in-person support that will hopefully make this an even more incredible experience for Indiana and Miami fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the same time, it\u2019s a milestone for our brand. We want our partners to look back on this run and feel that adidas was the best, most supportive partner they could have had on the journey to a national championship.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adidas is becoming more and more involved with college football powers.<\/p>\n

The brand recently added Penn State and Tennessee as partners as it looks to continue to expand its footprint in the college football world.<\/p>\n

Miami enters Monday\u2019s national title game with a 13-2 record. The Hurricanes beat Texas A&M, Ohio State and Ole Miss to reach the national championship game.<\/p>\n
