ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. \u2014 To celebrate “all things local,” Localtopia<\/a> will return for the 13th time to Williams Park in downtown St. Pete on Feb. 14.<\/p>\n Localtopia, the annual event that touts being “St. Pete’s largest ‘Community Celebration of All Things Local'” will showcase more than 300 independent businesses and community organizations during Valentine’s Day weekend in downtown St. Pete.<\/p>\n The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n In the last couple of years, thousands of attendants have flocked to downtown St. Pete to meet, buy or just see the offerings of hundreds of local business owners and organizations.<\/p>\n The transformation of St. Pete’s downtown is remarkable, with chalk painting activities, people in costumes, delicious food and beverages for everyone to see or enjoy.<\/p>\n For many vendors, Localtopia represents an opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit. Sam Gerth of Hamster G Designs, who operates his business from his garage, sees the event as a crucial platform for smaller enterprises, as he told\u00a0<\/a>10 Tampa Bay News<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n “It’s a great event, super well attended.
