This month, he celebrates a quarter century at TPA and now oversees 16 restaurant locations as Senior Director of Operations for HMSHost by Avolta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, I can\u2019t believe it\u2019s been 25 years,\u201d Perry said. \u201cOnce you\u2019re in an airport, it\u2019s a fun job. You\u2019re learning new things every day. It\u2019s always changing\u2014and it\u2019s good changing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From Coffee Kiosk to Senior Director<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image_resized image-style-align-right\" style=\"aspect-ratio:300\/auto;width:300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/800_airsided-starbucks.jpg\" alt=\"Airside D-starbucks\" width=\"300\" height=\"auto\"\/>Perry began his Airport career managing a Starbucks location, one of the first in all of Florida, at one of TPA&#8217;s original Airsides. At the time he says, Starbucks was still a novelty. \u201cBack then the stores were small, almost like little kiosks,\u201d he recalled. \u201cIt was amazing watching travelers discover the brand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After his start at Starbucks, Perry managed the Airport\u2019s Chili\u2019s Too restaurant at Airside C before moving up through the ranks: Assistant Director in 2010, Director in 2015, and Senior Director of Operations today. HMSHost, now part of\u00a0Avolta, operates all of the Airport\u2019s Starbucks locations and many of the restaurants travelers know and love at Tampa International Airport\u2014including P.F.
