{"id":125093,"date":"2026-01-20T17:10:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T17:10:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/125093\/"},"modified":"2026-01-20T17:10:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T17:10:08","slug":"final-public-hearing-set-for-seven-islands-development-gb-daily","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/125093\/","title":{"rendered":"Final public hearing set for Seven Islands development | GB Daily"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cape Coral City Council is scheduled to host a final public hearing Jan. 21 on <a target=\"_blank\" class=\"Hyperlink SCXW189974848 BCX0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gulfshorebusiness.com\/lee\/cape-coral-finalizing-seven-islands-mixed-use-project\/article_066a6627-8873-4b13-a583-2d5b86b30c68.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the long-planned Seven Islands mixed-use development<\/a> along Old Burnt Store Road North.<\/p>\n<p>Ordinance 60-25 would formalize a development agreement between the city and Gulf Gateway Resort &amp; Marina LLC for the 47-acre site, which the city sold in 2022 for $20 million after acquiring it through foreclosure.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal includes up to 995 residential units, a 10-story hotel, a 39-slip marina, commercial space and a range of public amenities, such as a community center, amphitheater, dog park, splash pad and kayak launch.<\/p>\n<p>City officials say the project has undergone extensive planning and public input over several years.
