A pair of Cape Coral men have been arrested for alleged armed robbery of a local convenient store. <\/p>\n

Yoise Ernesto Cintra Maymir, 29, and Vicente Gonzalez, 51, are both being charged with robbery with a firearm, with Maymir also being charged with drug possession.<\/p>\n

According to Cape Coral Police Department officials, on Jan. 12 just after midnight, officers were called to the 7-Eleven on Andalusia Boulevard in reference to an armed robbery in progress, where a male allegedly brandished a handgun, grabbed cash and then fled. <\/p>\n

CCPD\u2019s Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation, and identified a four-door Chevrolet Malibu as being involved in the robbery, and potential suspects were discovered. <\/p>\n

On Jan. 15, CCPD officials state a search warrant was executed at the home listed on the vehicle registration in Cape Coral. <\/p>\n

Police officials also state a traffic stop was conducted on the car, where the sole driver, Maymir, was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and had a gun in his waistband that was \u201csimilar\u201d to the one used in the 7-Eleven robbery. <\/p>\n

\u201cLocated in the home during the search warrant were several clothing items that were similar to the ones worn by the suspect during the robbery,\u201d a release from CCPD stated. <\/p>\n

Gonzalez, who also lives at the same residence as Maymir, was also arrested. <\/p>\n

Both men are still in custody at Lee County Jail as of Tuesday afternoon, with no bond set. <\/p>\n
