ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 Attorney Ben Crump will represent the family of a 70-year-old woman who died after riding the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster at Universal Orlando Resort in November.<\/p>\n
As News 6 reported last week<\/a>, Ma de La Luz Mejia Rosas lost consciousness while riding the ride on Nov. 25 and was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n Universal disclosed the death in the quarterly theme park injury report <\/a>that is submitted to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.<\/p>\n According to a news release from Crump\u2019s office, the family is \u201cseeking answers and full transparency regarding the circumstances surrounding her death, including information related to the ride\u2019s operations, safety protocols, maintenance history, and any available incident data.\u201d<\/p>\n Revenge of the Mummy is an indoor hybrid attraction that combines a dark ride with roller-coaster elements.
