The teams will meet at 4 p.m. at the LaNella Robson Tennis Center in Tempe.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLast season, <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/jan-sebesta\/8200\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8200\" target=\"_blank\">Jan Sebesta<\/a> teamed up with alumni Jami Connel to storm out to an early lead and quickly won the first doubles match 6-1 on court three. <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/erik-schiessl\/8199\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8199\" target=\"_blank\">Erik Schiessl<\/a> and Joshua Dous-Karpenschief delivered some well-timed shots to put away the match at 7-5 and win the doubles point.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Seminoles had early first set leads across courts two through five before Arizona was able to outlast and win five first sets in singles play. Arizona was able to clinch the match after four consecutive singles victories.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nFlorida State has begun the 2026 season at 5-0 with several key singles and doubles wins. No. 83 <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/mohammad-alkotop\/8202\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8202\" target=\"_blank\">Mohammad Alkotop<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/azariah-rusher\/8198\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8198\" target=\"_blank\">Azariah Rusher<\/a> have shown impressive doubles run together with a 4-0 overall record heading into Wednesday&#8217;s matchups.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTransfer Gabriele Brancetelli won his first doubles match as a Seminole alongside Sebesta on Thursday over Leon Harder and Juan Die Rojas of the College of Charleston 6-1, before earning his first singles victory under Florida State against Rojas Mora in a 6-2, 6-2 win.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLive stats and live stream will be available on Seminoles.com.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLAST TIME OUT:<br \/>\nFlorida State won 18 straight matches last week after sweeping the College of Charleston on Thursday, before opening the weekend defeating Alabama State (4-0) and The Citadel (7-0). \u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nFSU vs. College of Charleston<br \/>\nIn doubles play,\u00a0Brancatelli\u00a0and\u00a0Sebesta\u00a0gave Florida State an early edge with a\u00a06-1\u00a0victory on court\u00a0three, while\u00a0No. 43\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/luis-felipe-miguel\/8204\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8204\" target=\"_blank\">Luis Felipe Miguel<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/erik-schiessl\/8199\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8199\" target=\"_blank\">Erik Schiessl<\/a>\u00a0clinched the point moments later with a\u00a06-2\u00a0win on court one. Court\u00a0Two,\u00a0with No.\u00a082 Rusher and\u00a0Alkotop\u00a0added\u00a0a 6-2 win.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nFlorida State carried the energy into singles, where\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/oren-ezerzer\/8205\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8205\" target=\"_blank\">Oren Ezerzer<\/a>\u00a0was the first Seminole off the court,\u00a0earning\u00a0a\u00a06-2, 6-2\u00a0win\u00a0over Eddie Vo\u00a0on court six. Brancatelli\u00a0followed\u00a0with a\u00a0commanding 6-2,\u00a06-2 victory against Juan Die Rojas Mora. \u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAfter\u00a0Rusher&#8217;s\u00a0victory on court\u00a0three (6-4, 6-3)\u00a0extended the Seminole\u00a0lead\u00a0to\u00a03-0,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/luis-felipe-miguel\/8204\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8204\" target=\"_blank\">Luis Felipe Miguel<\/a>\u00a0added a\u00a06-2\u00a0decision over\u00a0Leon Harder\u00a0on court\u00a0one\u00a0to secure the win.\u00a0Alkotop\u00a0earned a\u00a0three-set\u00a0victory\u00a0win\u00a0over Jake Smith\u00a0on court\u00a0four.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nOn court\u00a0two, No.\u00a050\u00a0Schiessl\u00a0clinched his win with a 6-0 second-set shutout before winning the tiebreaker, 16-14.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nFSU vs. Alabama State \/The Citadel<br \/>\nFSU dominated doubles in the first match of the day against Alabama State. On Court 2, Alkotop and Rusher got to work early, jumping out to a 5-0 lead. On Court 3, <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/justin-lyons\/8197\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8197\" target=\"_blank\">Justin Lyons<\/a> and Ezerzer controlled a 4-2 lead through the first six games. Court 1 was back and forth until Felipe Miguel and Schiessl took a 4-3 advantage. Rusher and Alkotop earned the 6-1 victory, followed by Lyons and Ezerzer earning themselves a 6-2 victory, clinching the point for FSU. Miguel and Schiessl closed out the doubles session with a 6-3 win.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIn singles, Brancatelli earned his second consecutive dual-match victory, defeating Vid Maric 6-1, 6-1 on Court 4. No. 69-ranked Miguel earned the second singles victory of the day by defeating Martin Catrice 6-2, 6-3 on Court 2. <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/jan-sebesta\/8200\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8200\" target=\"_blank\">Jan Sebesta<\/a> clinched the match for FSU with a 6-2, 6-0 win on Court 6.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMatch two against The Citadel was Florida State&#8217;s Military Appreciation Match. The Seminoles once again dominated doubles play, sweeping the Bulldogs on all three courts. Brancatelli and Sebesta earned the first doubles victory of the match with a 6-0 sweep. Rusher and Alkotop earned their second doubles victory of the day with a 6-2 win to clinch the doubles point for FSU. Lyons and Ezerzer cleaned up the final match earning a 6-3 victory.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Seminoles swept through all six singles courts, only dropping 10 total games. Ezerzer scored the first singles point for the Noles, defeating Graham Hardin 6-1, 6-0. <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/corey-craig\/8196\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8196\" target=\"_blank\">Corey Craig<\/a> earned his first win of the afternoon on Court 1, defeating Noah Van Dyke 6-0, 6-2. Brancatelli defeated Nick Stroumpis 6-0, 6-1 to clinch the match for FSU. The remaining courts played out with Lyons earning the next Seminole victory with a 6-0, 6-2 finish.
