PORT ST. LUCIE, FLORIDA \u2014 New Haven Pizza Truck is preparing to open within the next few weeks, bringing Connecticut-style pizza to events and private bookings across Florida. <\/p>\n

Owner Mustafa Telawi and business partner Tariq Hamza told Business Debut the mobile operation will serve customers throughout a wide service territory spanning from Miami to Orlando, FL.<\/p>\n

What to Expect<\/p>\n

The concept is inspired by the pizza culture of New Haven, Connecticut, where Telawi spent nearly two decades working in established pizzerias. The food truck is built around a traditional wood-fired pizza oven imported directly from Italy and installed inside the trailer to replicate the cooking method used in New Haven.<\/p>\n

New Haven Pizza Truck will operate at community events, farmers markets, and private gatherings, while also offering on-site catering for weddings, birthdays, graduations, and corporate events.<\/p>\n

Menu and Vision<\/p>\n

The menu emphasizes quality ingredients and classic preparation. Telawi said the team sources premium mozzarella, flour, and other components from top suppliers and focuses on consistency rather than cutting corners.<\/p>\n

Specialty pizzas highlighted for the Florida market include a pepperoni pizza finished with hot honey, a popular option in New Haven, and a mashed potato pizza that Telawi said is a longtime regional favorite. The full menu is expected to feature more than 40 pizza varieties.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to make sure we give people the perfect taste,\u201d Telawi told Business Debut. \u201cEverything starts with the oven and the ingredients.\u201d He said the truck uses a wood-fired oven imported from Italy, along with premium mozzarella, high-quality flour, and carefully sourced toppings. Telawi said the team prioritizes consistency and ingredient quality, with a focus on delivering a traditional, wood-fired pizza without shortcuts.<\/p>\n

Catering and Events<\/p>\n

For private bookings, the truck offers three-hour service windows that include an open pizza buffet and salad service, followed by dessert. Dessert includes a complimentary Nutella pizza, along with soft-serve ice cream and espresso, with cleanup and packaging of leftover pizzas included at the end of the event.<\/p>\n

The team is targeting an opening within the next three weeks, pending final permitting approvals.<\/p>\n
