It was a good run, but Jensen Beach<\/a> unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to the Port St. Lucie Jaguars<\/a>. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Falcons came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps’ Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Jaguars are ranked 404th).<\/p>\n Port St. Lucie’s win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryan Desgrottes<\/a>, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. Thanks to that strong game, Desgrottes now owns an excellent 45% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Sylvain<\/a>, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds.<\/p>\n Jensen Beach’s defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 13-7. As for Port St. Lucie, they moved to 9-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.<\/p>\n Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jensen Beach will take on South Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Port St. Lucie, they won’t have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Legacy at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Jaguars will be up against the Lions’ rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.76 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.<\/p>\n
