Junior Woman\u2019s Club seeks new members<\/p>\n
SEMINOLE \u2014 The Seminole Junior Woman\u2019s Club is seeking new club members, women 18 or older from Seminole and surrounding areas. The club meets at 6:30 p.m. every fourth Thursday of the month at Lake Seminole Square, 8333 Seminole Blvd.<\/p>\n
The group is dedicated to serving the community, particularly through programs helping children and veterans. Club activities include providing a meal at the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg, the SJWC \u201cShare our Spirit\u201d food drive, which helps feed Seminole children during Christmas break, and its annual purse auction in April to raise funds for programs in our community.<\/p>\n

To learn more, email us at GFWCSeminole@gmail.com<\/a>, visit us on Facebook at https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/seminolejuniorwomansclub<\/a>, or call 727-687-3077<\/p>\n Museum to extend hours for Art in Park<\/p>\n Art in the Park is on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Road, and the Seminole Historical Museum will extend hours and be open until 3 p.m. as the city of Seminole hosts this annual event.<\/p>\n A Native American display with Dr. Roger Block will be highlighted at the museum in addition to 3D fossil display and fossils from Boca Ciega Millennium Park.<\/p>\n The museum is open Thursdays and other Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Program speaker at the museum on Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. is Seminole Community Police Officer Deputy Travis Stanton speaking on community policing.<\/p>\n Seminole Chamber upcoming events<\/p>\n \u2022 ChairFit with Suncoast Family Medical Associates \u2013 Jan. 29, 12:30-1:30 pm, Seminole Chamber, 9200 113th St., Seminole.
