A popular clothing chain with 16 Florida locations is planning to close all its locations after 25 years in business.<\/p>\n

Francesca’s, a women’s clothing and jewelry store, is in the process<\/a> of liquidating all its inventory and will close soon, according to Women’s Wear Daily.<\/p>\n

The news comes after the chain filed for bankruptcy in 2020. At that time, Houston-based Francesca’s had about 700 stores<\/a> and announced 140 locations would close, USA Today reported.<\/p>\n

In Florida, Francesca’s has locations in Clearwater, Pensacola, Lake Buena Vista, Miramar Beach, Sunrise, Ocala, Destin, Orlando, Lakeland, Gainesville, Melbourne, Naples, Altamonte Springs, Brandon, Pembroke Pines and St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n

The company was started in 1999. Since then, it’s grown to more than 450 boutiques in 45 states. Francesca’s also has at least 3,400 employees.<\/p>\n

Francesca’s has not publicly confirmed the closing.
