(WCTV\/Gray Florida Capital Bureau) &#8211; The Florida Senate committee approved a bill Wednesday that would make buying dogs and cats from pet stores more transparent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2026\/01004\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2026\/01004\">bill requires pet stores<\/a> to provide medical records to new pet owners, disclose all financing terms and implement a three-day waiting period between the purchase agreement and taking possession of the pet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">Florida Politics<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cPuppy buyers have a right to know, certainly, the medical background.
