ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 The American Customer Satisfaction Index<\/a> has released the latest scores for customer satisfaction at convenience stores nationwide, revealing that the ever-popular Buc-ee\u2019s is not actually at the top of the list.<\/p>\n

The study examines several benchmarks for determining customer experiences at convenience stores, including the quality of mobile apps, cooked food, staff courtesy and checkout speed.<\/p>\n

Overall, Buc-ee\u2019s came in at No. 5 (79 points) in 2025, tying with the Midwestern gas giant Love\u2019s. That said, it still ranks higher than the national average for convenience stores (76 points).<\/p>\n

When breaking down the customer satisfaction leaders by region, though, the study says that Buc-ee\u2019s came in No. 2 for the Southern U.S., falling just behind Wawa.<\/p>\n

Nationally, the top-ranked convenience store was revealed to be Kwik Trip, sitting high with a satisfaction score of 84 points.<\/p>\n

Buc-ee\u2019s has become an emerging brand here in the Sunshine State, with two locations available so far in St. Augustine and Daytona Beach.<\/p>\n

However, the chain is slated to get even more locations next year. USA Today reports<\/a> that Buc-ee\u2019s is set to open the following three gas stations in 2026:<\/p>\n

Huber Heights, Ohio \u2014 April 2026<\/p>\n

Goodyear, Arizona \u2014 June 2026<\/p>\n

San Marcos, Texas \u2014 July 2026<\/p>\n

However, Florida wasn\u2019t entirely left out of the loop. While the Sunshine State may not get any new Buc-ee\u2019s stations in 2026, there are a couple of stores opening in the years to follow.<\/p>\n

ST. LUCIE<\/p>\n

First up is an expected Buc-ee\u2019s gas station in St. Lucie County, which will reportedly open sometime in 2027.<\/p>\n

Site plans unveiled last year<\/a> show that this store is set to open north of Fort Pierce, likely on the southeast corner of the I-95 Indrio Road interchange.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year<\/a>, more news came out showing that the gas station may feature up to 120 gas pumps and 778 parking spaces, though few details about this site have been released so far.<\/p>\n

OCALA<\/p>\n

The other upcoming Florida location included on USA Today\u2019s list is in Ocala, now apparently set to open in 2028.<\/p>\n

This location was originally set to be the largest Buc-ee\u2019s ever \u2014 though that title was usurped by a Texas store<\/a> that opened last year.<\/p>\n

Still, the upcoming Marion County store is planned to be 74,000 square feet, making it a behemoth compared to many other Buc-ee\u2019s locations.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also being built near I-75, north of Ocala. And it\u2019s also a big motivator for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who discussed the travel store chain when talking about a request for funding the nearby interchange on Northwest 49th Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get pitched on a lot of things, right? I mean, it just goes with the job,\u201d he said back in February<\/a>. \u201cAnd so I\u2019m just kind of going there, going through some stuff, and then I\u2019m like, \u2018Alright.\u2019 I didn\u2019t commit to anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the person briefing DeSantis reportedly told him that by funding the interchange, they would be able to have the upcoming Buc-ee\u2019s right there off the exit to I-75.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018Sign me up,\u2019\u201d DeSantis said.<\/p>\n

TALLAHASSEE<\/p>\n

During the same news conference where DeSantis discussed the I-75 project in Ocala, he also claimed that a new Buc-ee\u2019s is coming to the state capitol. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s no opening date yet for this site, but according to DeSantis, this Buc-ee\u2019s store is planned to be built off Interstate 10 near Tallahassee, which he said will \u201crevolutionize driving on I-10.\u201d<\/p>\n

Per the Tallahassee Democrat<\/a>, the Tallahassee store is slated to bring in around 200 new jobs, and the travel center itself could span 75,000 square feet, which would even overtake the gargantuan Ocala location.<\/p>\n

PORT CHARLOTTE<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, News 6 also dug up property records showing that a rezoning project for a potential was approved along Harborview Road near Interstate 75, clearing the way for over 650 acres of development.<\/p>\n

North and east of the highway, the project is slated to bring in plenty of residential development, though a smaller parcel of land to the southwest of I-75 may potentially become home to a new Buc-ee\u2019s gas station, county records reveal.<\/p>\n

Property records show that a portion of that land right off I-75 is under the ownership of Buc-ee\u2019s, though no information has yet been provided about the site at this time.<\/p>\n
