A 22-year-old Cape Coral man was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Hardee County. A 35-year-old man from Fort Myers was also killed in the crash.<\/p>\n
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday when a 2025 Kia, driven by the Fort Myers man, was traveling north on County Road 663, approaching a stop sign at State Road 64. The Kia, the FHP reported, violated the right of way of a semi-tractor trailer truck traveling east on State Road 64, driving into the intersection and collided with the trailer portion of the semi.<\/p>\n
Both the driver and the Cape Coral man, who was passenger in the vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene, FHP reported. A second passenger in the Kia, a 25-year-old man from Fort Myers, was critically injured and transported to an area hospital.<\/p>\n
The driver of the semi, a 71-year-old man from Wauchula, was uninjured.<\/p>\n
