The Kia Center<\/a> transformed into a very unorthodox cathedral last night as a congregation of fans packed the arena to witness Swedish rock band Ghost kick off<\/a> the U.S. leg of \u201cSkeletour\u201d here in Orlando with a phones-free show.<\/p>\n

Led by charismatic vocalist Tobias Forge, this masked nine-piece graced (and rocked) the stage with their signature brand of occult theatrics. While there was no shortage of hits, a notable highlight of the setlist was a thoughtful recognition of current events in America. Forge provided the once bleak but now reassuring reminder that \u201c\u2026 nothing lasts forever\u201d before transitioning into \u201cThe Future Is a Foreign Land.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other standout performances included a range of songs from across their catalog, including \u201cSatan Prayer,\u201d \u201cYear Zero\u201d and \u201cCirice,\u201d alongside more recent hits such as \u201cDance Macabre,\u201d \u201cSquare Hammer\u201d and \u201cMary on a Cross.\u201d \u2014 Ricardo Martinez<\/p>\n
