In continued service to families facing some of life\u2019s most difficult moments, renowned Peruvian Chef Juan Chipoco, Founder of CVI.CHE 105 and The Juan Chipoco Foundation<\/a>, prepared and served warm meals to more than 30 families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida<\/a>, located on the campus of Jackson Memorial Medical Center. In addition to the meal, Chef Chipoco and his team also distributed toys to children staying at the House, bringing moments of joy and normalcy to families far from home.<\/p>\n

Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida provides a vital home-away-from-home for families, allowing them to stay close to their hospitalized child at little to no cost \u2013 relieving the burden of lodging, meals, and daily necessities during an incredibly difficult chapter.<\/p>\n

The visit took place on Three Kings Day, a culturally meaningful day rooted in generosity and togetherness. Chef Chipoco chose to spend the day with families who have traveled long distances \u2013 often for weeks or months \u2013 so their ill or injured children can receive critical medical care. Among them was a family from Central America whose two-year-old-son is undergoing a life-saving heart transplant.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen parents are focused on the health of their child, nothing else should matter,\u201d said Chipoco. \u201cProviding warm meals for these families is our way of letting them know we see them, recognize what they\u2019re going through, and hope we can offer even a small sense of comfort and peace so they can focus on what matters most: their family. Chipoco\u2019s visit continues his ongoing commitment to serving Miami\u2019s most vulnerable communities and builds on a heartfelt tradition of giving through The Juan Chipoco Foundation. In December, Chipoco and his team prepared and served more than 500 warm holiday meals to residents experiencing homelessness at Chapman Partnership\u2019s Downtown Miami Center, and previously served more than 250 meals to healthcare heroes and essential personnel at Holtz Children\u2019s Hospital at the University of Miami\/Jackson Memorial Medical Center.<\/p>\n

The Juan Chipoco Foundation<\/a> focuses on addressing food insecurity, improving healthcare access, and providing mentorship and resources to children and families in need.
