WESH 2 News obtained police body camera footage from three officers involved in the stop.The officer who issued a citation to Rose is heard telling a supervisor, “She says she’s calling the chief and that’s when I called you over. She said she’s a commissioner. I have no idea who she is.”The incident occurred as approximately 70,000 fans were leaving the stadium, and Rose pulled over to the side of traffic cones directing vehicles to the 408 toll road near Carter Street. While on the phone with police Chief Eric Smith, Rose is heard saying, “He’s writing me a ticket. What’s your name, officer?”Smith\u2019s public information office stated the Chief would not be available for an interview or to comment on the Commissioner\u2019s request for assistance.The ticketing officer told Rose, “You’re impeding the flow of traffic, ma’am. I need you to move your vehicle. The road is blocked right there.” Rose responded to the Chief on the phone, “Do you hear how aggressive he’s getting, Chief?” She then told the officer, \u201cI’m the Commissioner. I live in Parramore. You can’t tell me I can’t go home.”The officer then informed his supervisor, “She’s arguing. Instead, she emailed a statement, saying, “Large-scale events at Camping World Stadium, which can attract over 100,000 attendees, have created challenges for nearby residents attempting to return home. We have heard these concerns, (and) I recently experienced it myself. The city is actively reviewing our event transportation and traffic management strategies.”Rose also shared an email from Christina Moya, Division Manager-Special Events & Traffic Safety in the city\u2019s Transportation Department, explaining that the traffic management team is working on new plans to help residents living near the stadium return home.It remains unclear if Rose violated Florida law or the Code of Ethics, which prohibits public officials from using their office for personal gain or accepting special privileges.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
