Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews saved five pets but could not save a sixth during a house fire in Carrollwood, officials said.<\/p>\n
Multiple 911 callers reported the fire at 2904 Lake Stall Lane at 11:17 a.m. Jan. 21, according to the agency. The first fire engine arrived to find heavy flames coming from the front of the home.<\/p>\n
Firefighters entered the residence and put out the fire in less than 15 minutes, officials said.<\/p>\n
Crews rescued three dogs and three cats from inside the home. One cat died in the fire, according to the agency. Bystanders took the five surviving animals to a veterinarian.<\/p>\n
No firefighters were injured.<\/p>\n
