An Oasis High School physical education teacher was nominated by a fellow teacher for the National Life Group\u2019s 2025-2026 LifeChanger of the Year Award.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel very honored to be nominated,\u201d Brice Bearman said.<\/p>\n
This is his second-year teaching at Oasis High School.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think as a teacher and a coach that you teach accountability. That\u00a0you teach them that and expect them to carry that forward into their schoolwork and in their life outside of school,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The award both recognizes and rewards the very best educators and school district employees across the United States in kindergarten through 12th grade who have made a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership.<\/p>\n
John Ball, Oasis High School teacher, nominated Bearman after learning about the award through social media posts shared within the education community.<\/p>\n
\u201cI nominated Brice Bearman because he is an outstanding teacher and football coach who consistently motivates students to be their best both academically and personally,\u201d he said. \u201cHe pushes his scholar-athletes to strive for excellence in the classroom and on the field, while also modeling integrity, discipline and leadership. Under his guidance, students are respectful, display good behavior and hold themselves to high standards. His positive influence extends far beyond wins and losses, making a lasting impact on the lives of the students he serves.\u201d<\/p>\n
LifeChanger of the Year began in 2011 and has recognized and rewarded more than 8,600 K-12 teachers, administrators and school employees in 2,300-plus school districts. More than $850,000 in cash prizes have been given to winners.<\/p>\n
The grand prize winner will receive $20,000 to be shared with their school\/district; four grand prize finalists will receive $5,000 to be shared with their school\/district; 10 LifeChanger Award winners will receive $3,000 to be shared with their school\/district; one spirit award winner will receive $5,000 to be shared with their school\/district; and one spotlight award winner will receive $5,000 to be shared with their school\/district.<\/p>\n
A selection committee, composed of former winners and education professionals, will choose the winners, which will be announced early 2026.<\/p>\n
