(BPRW) Florida A&M University\u2019s Harambee Festival Returns for Unity and Cultural Celebration<\/p>\n
(Black PR Wire)\u00a0TALLAHASSEE, Fla.\u00a0\u2014 Florida A&M University will host the\u00a02026 Harambee Festival\u00a0on\u00a0Saturday, Feb. 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.\u00a0at the\u00a0Will Packer Amphitheater, bringing together students, alumni and the Tallahassee community for a day centered on unity, culture and celebration.<\/p>\n
Now in its ninth year, the Harambee Festival is one of FAMU\u2019s signature cultural events celebrating Black history, heritage and community connection. The word\u00a0Harambee, a Swahili term meaning \u201call pull together,\u201d reflects the spirit of collective responsibility and cultural pride that anchors the annual celebration.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Harambee Festival plays a vital role in our relationship with the Tallahassee community and surrounding areas by enhancing our brand through community engagement,\u201d said Vernon Bryant, Harambee Festival project manager. \u201cIt also allows us to showcase our colleges and schools and highlight the programs the university has to offer.\u201d<\/p>\n
The festival will feature live entertainment, cultural performances, community engagement activities and family-friendly programming designed to highlight the richness of African and African American culture while strengthening connections across campus and the broader Tallahassee community.<\/p>\n

A diverse lineup of local vendors offering food, art, fashion and cultural goods

Parking and Shuttle Information<\/p>\n
Attendees may park at\u00a0Bragg Stadium (West Side)\u00a0for shuttle pickup beginning at\u00a011 a.m.\u00a0Shuttles will run\u00a0every 30 minutes\u00a0throughout the duration of the festival.<\/p>\n
