CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – 1 person is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of Tamiami Trail and Warrington Boulevard in Charlotte County around 4 p.m on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Charlotte County Fire & EMS found one motorcycle down and an SUV that had collided with a utility pole when they arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n
Emergency crews removed a patient from the SUV. Two patients were designated as trauma alerts and were airlifted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Another patient was transported to a local hospital.<\/p>\n
Both northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. 41 are shut down, with traffic being diverted in the area.<\/p>\n
