The Parkinson\u2019s Foundation will host its second annual \u201cMove & Mingle Miami\u201d on Saturday, Mar. 7, 7 p.m., at the University of Miami\u2019s Newman Alumni Center.<\/p>\n

\u201cMove & Mingle Miami\u201d is a signature fundraising event that brings together supporters, advocates and community leaders to raise awareness and vital support for people with Parkinson\u2019s disease (PD).<\/p>\n

Funds raised through \u201cMove & Mingle Miami\u201d will support cutting-edge research, local community grants and education programs to improve the lives of people living with PD in the greater Miami area. The event also raises awareness for the 90,083 people living with Parkinson\u2019s disease in Florida \u2013 the second largest state PD population in the nation following California.<\/p>\n

\u201cMove & Mingle Miami is an elegant evening dedicated to connection, community and impact,\u201d said Karen Lopez, Parkinson\u2019s Foundation Florida Chapter executive director.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuests will enjoy cocktails, delicious food, live music and a silent auction in a welcoming social setting that reflects the Parkinson\u2019s Foundation\u2019s mission to improve care and advance research toward a cure.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event honors John W. Kozyak, Esq., and is chaired by Lisa and Brian Tannebaum, whose leadership and support help advance the Foundation\u2019s work in South Florida.<\/p>\n
