\u2013 Jan. 28: Online Author Event with Liz Moore from 7 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
Acclaimed novelist Liz Moore joins us for a virtual conversation about her New York Times bestseller, \u201cThe God of the Woods,\u201d one of NPR\u2019s \u201cBooks We Love\u201d of 2024. She is also the author of \u201cThe Words of Every Song,\u201d \u201cHeft,\u201d \u201cThe Unseen World\u201d and the New York Times bestseller \u201cLong Bright River.\u201d A winner of the 2014 Rome Prize in Literature, Moore teaches in the Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing at Temple University. The event is part of the Online Author Events Series. Registration is required.<\/p>\n
\u2013 Jan. 29: Online Beginner Chinese from 6 to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
Learn the basics of Chinese in a relaxed, informal and beginner-friendly class with library system volunteer Ying Li. Participants will focus on simple words, everyday phrases and basic grammar to help them start building sentences. No experience is needed. Registration is required before Jan. 29 at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n
