\u201cA bunch of divers and trucks pulled up and said they found a truck,\u201d said James Adelizzi, who lives nearby.<\/p>\n
Scibica was last seen early Friday morning at Cheers bar around 4 a.m., according to friends. He was believed to be driving a gray Honda Ridgeline when he left.<\/p>\n
Adelizzi, who lives at the Cypress Creek Mobile Home Park near Northeast 62nd Street, said he noticed something unusual outside his home later that morning.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll I saw was headlights shining across the lagoon,\u201d he said. \u201cThe next morning I noticed the gate, someone had driven through it, knocked it off the hinges and into the water.\u201d<\/p>\n
Two days later, the truck was found in the canal. Divers with the Broward County Sheriff\u2019s Office responded and recovered the vehicle.<\/p>\n
The discovery came as friends and supporters, many from Level Up Boxing and Fitness, were already looking for Scibica.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll his friends were here,\u201d Adelizzi said. \u201cThey were talking to me. It was sad.\u201d<\/p>\n
The truck was towed away, and a body was taken by the Broward County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office. Authorities have not released details about what led up to the crash.<\/p>\n
Friends say Scibica did not live in the mobile home park and are left with questions about how he ended up there and what happened after he left the bar.<\/p>\n
