Florida attorney general James Uthmeier is calling for the Florida Board of Nursing to revoke the license of a woman after she said she hoped White House press secretary\u00a0Karoline Leavitt\u00a0suffers a severe injury<\/a> in childbirth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWomen shouldn\u2019t have to worry about a politically driven nurse who wishes them pain and suffering being in the delivery room during childbirth,\u201d Uthmeier told\u00a0Fox News Digital\u00a0in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s evil,\u201d he added. \u201cThe Florida Board of Nursing must take action to keep this person away from patients permanently.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a video posted on TikTok, Lexie Lawler, a former labor and delivery nurse at Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital, said, \u201cAs a labor and delivery nurse, it gives me great joy to wish Karoline Leavitt a fourth degree tear.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued with explicit language, saying she hoped Leavitt would suffer a permanent injury during childbirth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope you f\u2014king rip from bow to stern and never s\u2014t normally again, you c\u2014t,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

In December, Leavitt announced that she and her husband Nick are expecting a baby girl<\/a> due in May, who will join their first son, Niko, born in July 2024.<\/p>\n

Lawler was subsequently fired from Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital.<\/p>\n

The hospital told Fox News Digital that her comments \u201cdo not reflect our values or the standards we expect of healthcare professionals,\u201d but Lawler has since defended her remarks in another video, and appeared to reference an unrelated shooting in Minnesota while responding to criticism over her comments.<\/p>\n

A \u201cGoFundMe\u201d has been set up for Lawler which has raised nearly $5,000 with a goal of $14,000.\u00a0<\/p>\n
