TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida A&M men\u2019s basketball (8-10, 5-2 SWAC) led for nearly 34 minutes of its game against Jackson State (6-14, 5-2 SWAC) on Monday night, but a late three-pointer by the Tigers lifted them to the 66-65 win. <\/p>\n
Daeshun Ruffin and Jayme Mitchell Jr. combined for 50 points for Jackson State. For the Rattlers, Kaleb Waashington led the way, scoring 17 points off the bench.<\/p>\n
The Rattlers shot 0-13 in the second half and just 53 percent from the free-throw line throughout the game.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cAs coach Jeff Van Gundy used to say, \u2018this is a make-or-miss league.\u2019 They made, we missed down the stretch,\u201d said Florida A&M head coach Charlie Ward. \u201cThose things happen; this is basketball. We just have to continue to get better. We got all the wide open shots we wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n
