Florida Statute 316.1945<\/a>, which outlines regulations for stopping, standing and parking, prohibits vehicles from blocking sidewalks, even when the vehicle is parked in a residential driveway. <\/p>\n

Sidewalks are considered part of the public right-of-way and must remain accessible for pedestrians, including individuals using wheelchairs, mobility devices, strollers and bicycles. <\/p>\n

While many drivers park in their driveways without a second thought, even a vehicle bumper extending over the sidewalk may create a violation if it obstructs pedestrian travel. <\/p>\n
