Army veteran and community advocate Tifany Hill is running for Tallahassee City Commission Seat 5.<\/p>\n
Hill said she\u2019s running because she wants to be a voice that listens to residents. She disagrees with how the sale of the Capitol City Country Club golf course, and the recent talks about the transfer of Tallahassee Memorial healthcare to Florida State University are being handled.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like the community deserves leadership that listens, understands and acts with integrity plus research, so to do that due diligence and follow up with the people who bring issues before them,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
While on the campaign trail, she says she wants to meet with people across Tallahassee.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to find out what the needs are in each community, because every community is different,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Commissioner Dianne Williams-Cox currently holds that seat and is seeking reelection.
