The Fort Lauderdale Open<\/a> returns this year with one of the most loaded fields in history. The event runs April 29 through May 2 at the iconic Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center, hosted by Swim Fort Lauderdale, the City of Fort Lauderdale, and Visit Lauderdale.<\/p>\n

Online Meet Entries opened today at noon eastern standard time, and they are filling up fast.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Register through the OME system now.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s edition of this meet drew global attention and media. Two world records were broken in one day. Katie Ledecky<\/a> shattered the women\u2019s 800-meter freestyle world record, and Gretchen Walsh<\/a> broke the women\u2019s 100-meter butterfly world record twice in a single day, first in prelims and then again in finals. With that kind of precedent, expectations for 2026 are sky-high.<\/p>\n
