\nPart of the J.N. \u201cDing\u201d Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s free Winter Refuge Programs, Shell Walk take place on Fridays at 10 a.m. at the Gulfside City Park on Sanibel.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDing\u201d Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge (DDWS) provided the following updates for the J.N. \u201cDing\u201d Darling National Wildlife Refuge, at 1 Wildlife Drive, Sanibel:<\/p>\n

\u2013 The free Winter Refuge Programs are taking place from now through April 6.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Go Wild for \u201cDing\u201d \u2014 The Legacy fundraiser will be held on Feb. 4 at The Community House on Sanibel. Tickets are sold out.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The DDWS Distinguished Speaker Series will present conservationist Jeff Corwin on March 13 at The Community House on Sanibel. Tickets are sold out.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The 14th annual \u201cDing\u201d Darling & Doc Ford\u2019s Tarpon Tournament will take place on May 15. To register or more information, visit https:\/\/dingdarlingsociety.org\/tarpon-tournament<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Celebrate the nation\u2019s 250th anniversary with the refuge on July 4.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The refuge will celebrate Jay Norwood \u201cDing\u201d Darling\u2019s 150th birthday on Oct. 21.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Celebrate Art in the Wild on Oct. 21-22.<\/p>\n
