As the Fort Myers Beach Art Association\u2019s \u201cCool to be Square\u201d show wraps up this week, its new show \u201cSoaring\u201d is set to begin on Monday.<\/p>\n
The dynamic juried exhibition at the association\u2019s Cypress Square gallery will be showcasing exceptional works by both professional and emerging artists. The exhibition will be on view through Feb. 27. <\/p>\n
The \u201cSoaring show\u201d explores themes of elevation and aspiration, expressed literally through depictions of flight or symbolically through creative perspectives. This year\u2019s dual-category format allows seasoned professionals and rising talents to present their work side by side, offering a vibrant cross-section of local artistic expression.<\/p>\n
The awards reception will take place on Wednesday at 6 p.m., followed by a\u00a0gallery talk on Sunday, Feb. 8, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. where juror Jan Atkielsi\u2019s commentary will highlight the afternoon. The event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re excited to bring the community a show that reflects the optimism and resilience embodied in the theme \u2018Soaring,’\u201d said Fort Myers Beach Art Association member Susi Wingenroth. \u201cBy including categories for both Professional and Emerging Artists, we\u2019re celebrating the full spectrum of creativity that enriches our region.\u201d<\/p>\n
