ST. PETERSBURG \u2014 Police are investigating the death of a child following a stabbing inside a residence Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
At approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a call reporting a deceased child and an injured woman inside a home located at 1760 Tanglewood Drive NE.<\/p>\n

The child was identified as 4-year-old Finley Joseph Cullom. Authorities said the child had suffered stab wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n
The child\u2019s mother was also found injured, suffering from multiple stab wounds, and was transported to a local hospital. Police said she is in stable condition and her injuries are not considered life-threatening.<\/p>\n
Investigators stated that no one else was inside the home at the time of the incident and there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the community.<\/p>\n
The case remains an active investigation.<\/p>\n
