{"id":134922,"date":"2026-01-28T13:45:47","date_gmt":"2026-01-28T13:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/134922\/"},"modified":"2026-01-28T13:45:47","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T13:45:47","slug":"st-pete-pride-to-host-another-year-of-celebrations-the-crows-nest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/134922\/","title":{"rendered":"St Pete Pride to host another year of celebrations \u2013 The Crow&#8217;s Nest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>St. Pete Pride\u2019s events run from the last weekend of May until the end of June and offer festivities for all ages.\u00a0\u00a0Photo courtesy of St. Pete Pride<\/p>\n<p>By Julia Ferrara<\/p>\n<p>Every June, the streets of St. Petersburg fill in celebration of the annual Pride events, and this year is no exception.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The city is home to Florida\u2019s largest Pride festival, hosting over 100 groups that march through the downtown route.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bior Guigni, the Executive Director of St. Pete Pride, who hosts the parade and several other events, said their theme, \u201cHere Comes the Sun,\u201d was chosen because of its unifying sentiment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very much reliant on not just our internal community, but also our allies and so when it comes to the rainbow coming out, it cannot happen without the sun,\u201d Guigni told The Crow\u2019s Nest.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year, St. Pete Pride will welcome back many of its popular events, such as their yearly pageant, their kickoff and street fair on Grand Central, the Stonewall Reception, Family Day on the pier, their Pet Parade, and Transtastic. Photo courtesy of St. Pete Pride<\/p>\n<p>Guigni said that St. Pete Pride has been working with the Pride of Tampa, offering their love and support in the face of their <a href=\"https:\/\/crowsneststpete.com\/2025\/10\/22\/is-tampa-bay-pride-cooked-usf-students-dont-think-so\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">parade being canceled<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne thing about our community is that these challenges aren\u2019t new.
