This high visibility enforcement operation (Operation \u201cDon\u2019t Drive Fast and Furious\u201d) specifically targeted speeding &amp; aggressive driving. This operation was conducted citywide and resulted in 82\u00a0total citations.<\/p>\n<p>OPERATION TIME: 7:00 a.m. \u2013 12:00 p.m.<br \/>TOTAL TRAFFIC STOPS: 96<br \/>WARNINGS: 18<br \/>SPEED CITATIONS: 61<br \/>SEATBELT CITATION: 00<br \/>MOVING CITATIONS: 74<br \/>NON-MOVING CITATIONS: 07<br \/>VIOLATING TRAFFIC CONTROL\/SIGNAL DEVICE: 11<br \/>OPEN CONTAINER (DRIVER):\u00a000<br \/>OPEN CONTAINER (PASSENGER):\u00a000<br \/>.02 VIOLATION:\u00a000<br \/>CRIMINAL CITATIONS: 00<br \/>CITATIONS (TOTAL): 82<br \/>DUI ARRESTS:\u00a000<br \/>ARRESTS (OTHER): 00<br \/>AGGRESSIVE DRIVING: 00<\/p>\n<p>*****The operation was paid for with FDOT sub-grant funding. Cape Coral currently ranks 9th out of 38 agencies in Speeding or Aggressive Driving for traffic fatalities and serious injuries on the Highway Safety Matrix \u2013 Ranking of Florida.
