The Riverview Sarasota Rams<\/a> will face off against the St. Petersburg Green Devils<\/a> at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Riverview Sarasota didn’t have too much trouble with Palmetto as they won 72-55. The final result isn’t all that surprising considering the Rams’ considerable advantage in MaxPreps’ Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Tigers are ranked 500th).<\/p>\n

Riverview Sarasota relied on the efforts of Josh Harris<\/a>, who shot 41% from the field on his way to 27 points in addition to five assists and three steals, and Carter Evans<\/a>, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least a third of the Rams’ points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Hall<\/a>, who posted nine points and five boards.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, St. Petersburg had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Spartans as they made off with a 72-48 win. The Green Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.<\/p>\n

St. Petersburg found their leader in sophomore Nijaun Harris<\/a>, who put up 28 points. The matchup was Harris’ 25th in a row with at least 15 points. Zak Mellouki<\/a> was another key player, putting up 12 points.<\/p>\n

Riverview Sarasota’s victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for St. Petersburg, their win bumped their record up to an identical 15-8.<\/p>\n

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Riverview Sarasota hasn’t had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 66.4 points per game. However, it’s not like St. Petersburg struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 68.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.<\/p>\n

Riverview Sarasota didn’t have too much breathing room in their game against St. Petersburg when the teams last played back in January of 2025, but they still walked away with a 70-66 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Harris, who dropped a double-double with 41 points and 11 rebounds.
