Tampa International Airport and airline partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flybreeze.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Breeze<\/a> on Wednesday announced new, nonstop flights from TPA to Nassau.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the first nonstop jet service offered from America&#8217;s Favorite Airport to the capital of the Bahamas in 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>Flights to Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) are scheduled to begin June 11, 2026, and will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. This destination will become the 29th destination <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampaairport.com\/destinations?region=All&amp;populate=&amp;airline=1423&amp;destination_type=All&amp;op=Submit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Breeze currently offers<\/a> from TPA. With the return of Nassau to the route map, TPA now offers nonstop flights to 22 international destinations across Canada, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Travelers may recall that Breeze was scheduled to commence its first international nonstop flights from TPA to Montego Bay, Jamaica, on February 11. However, after Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica in late 2025, Breeze delayed launching its flights to the island while the country recovers. With that delay, this new route to Nassau will become the first international destination offered by the airline from America&#8217;s Favorite Airport.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTampa International Airport is thrilled to add this popular Caribbean destination to our nonstop route map with our wonderful Breeze Airways partners, who have been rapidly growing their footprint at TPA since their first-ever flight launched here in 2021,\u201d TPA CEO Michael Stephens said. \u201cWe look forward to celebrating this new Nassau service \u2013 Breeze\u2019s first international destination from America\u2019s Favorite Airport \u2013 and anticipate many more celebrations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The airline currently operates 300 year-round and seasonal routes to 84 cities in the United States and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis currently unserved route to the Bahamas will be a great addition to our network in Tampa and a highly desirable destination for summer travel,\u201d said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways. \u201cWith Breeze\u2019s premium product offering, we know our Guests in Tampa will love this new service and we look forward to welcoming them on an upcoming flight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Breeze offers its travelers a range of amenities and products, including its first class-style Ascent premium section and fast onboard WiFi.
